
An overwhelming majority of voters have laid the blame for the recent Fianna Fáil presidential debacle squarely at the feet of party leader Taoiseach Micheál Martin.
Ahead of the publication of an interval review into the selection of Jim Gavin as the party candidate, findings from this month’s Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks poll show 68pc of voters blame Mr Martin for the fiasco which has engulfed the party internally since early October.
