Micheal Martin on Budget 2024: Help to workers during Cost of Living Crisis and Parents October 12, 2023 Admin Politics </p> <h2>Micheal Martin on Budget 2024</h2> <p> Finance Minister Michael McGrath and Public Expenditure Minister Paschal Donohoe are unveiling Budget 2024.<br /> The final budget package was signed off after the three Government leaders, Taoiseach Leo Varadkar, Tanaiste Micheal Martin and Greens chief Eamon Ryan, met with ministers again.<br /> Parents are the big winners of this year’s Budget as childcare fees are slashed by 25% and parents will also receive a double child benefit payment per child this winter.<br /> The cost of living package to help households struggling across the country is expected to be “significant” and was estimated at €2.3bn on Monday.<br /> Three energy credits, worth €150 each, will also be paid, one in time for Christmas and two more out to the end of Spring.<br /> The free school book programme will also be extended to 770,000 Junior Cycle students and college fees, meanwhile, will be cut by up to €1,500.<br /> <br /> Credit to : The Mirror</p> <p> Please support our Sponsors here --
