Ireland’s president Michael D Higgins, accompanied by his wife Sabina, departs Áras an Uachtaráin ahead of his 14-year term officially ending at midnight.
A guard of honour was mounted by the Sanctuary Runners, a running group comprising Irish residents and migrants standing proudly.
