The Irish “Disneyland” 1983

A one-of-a-kind cement theme park in County Cork brought global landmarks and pop culture to life, thanks to the imagination of retired seaman Jimmy O’Sullivan. After decades at sea, he returned to Ireland to recreate the wonders he’d seen, from wild animals to iconic TV characters like JR Ewing and the Incredible Hulk. The whimsical sculptures became a playful tourist attraction, showcasing Jimmy’s unique artistic flair. Broadcast on 28 January 1983.
