Aggrieved banks behind 14pc surge in complaints against lawyers
Complaints to the watchdog for lawyers jumped by 14pc last year, with the increase fuelled by grievances filed by banks against solicitors. The Legal Services Regulatory Authority (LSRA) said the surge was largely driven by a “high volume” of complaints from financial institutions about solicitors not complying with undertakings.
