Calls on Government to do a u-turn on plans to scrap cost-of-living package in upcoming Budget
The surging cost of a range of goods and services is hitting household budgets hard. The surge in costs has prompted renewed calls for the Government to do a U-turn on its plans to scrap a cost-of-living package in October’s Budget. It has been estimated that rises in the cost of string of goods and services and the removal of energy credits and the restoration of full college fees will meant the hit to a typical family this year will be around €2,500.
