Outgoing President Michael D Higgins and his wife Sabina have welcomed President-elect Catherine Connolly and her family to Áras an Uachtaráin.
Connolly will be inaugurated as Ireland’s 10th president next week, as Higgins’ 14-year tenure comes to an end.
