This week on O’Neill Dairy Farm we get notice of a derogation inspection, so there’s plenty to get ready before inspection day arrives.
Joe talks through the grass situation, clean-outs and growth, while milk litres move up and down again. We also borrow an agitator from the contractor, and the tractor road sweeper gets put to good use.
There’s another major issue hanging over the farm too, with an upcoming meeting about the proposed national road alignment and what it could mean for us. Later in the episode, Joe goes through how that meeting went and what we know so far.
Elsewhere, we’re milking with our youngest, checking on the E-Gate and keeping on top of the usual day-to-day jobs around the farm.
Let us know in the comments if you’ve ever had a derogation inspection and how you found it.
