DUBLIN – ROMA FEUD leaves ONE MAN DEAD following HIT AND RUN in Balbriggan
The victim, aged in his 20s, died after being struck by a car on Railway Street in Balbriggan with the driver then fleeing the scene.
Investigators believe the hit-and-run is linked to a localised feud involving members of the Roma community. Emergency services were also alerted to reports of two altercations in the aftermath of the hit-and-run but no serious injuries were reported.
Members of the Garda Public Order Unit were deployed to the town and the incidents were contained.
