Emergency pediatric doctor warns of ‘chroming’ dangers as hospitalisations rise

An emergency pediatric consultant has urged parents to speak to their children about the dangers of “chroming”, a harmful practice that has gained recent popularity among young people.

Chroming, traditionally referred to as “huffing” or solvent abuse, is the inhalation of volatile chemical fumes such as aerosol deodorants and hair spray in order to experience a momentary high.
