Eric Trump was in the family’s Doonbeg resort this week as preparations ramp up for hosting the Irish Open later this year. In a wide-ranging interview with Niamh Horan, the US President’s son revealed he would “love” to build a Trump Tower in Dublin, describing it as his “dream” and said the 2026 Irish Open would never have come to Trump’s west of Ireland property if it hadn’t been for Rory McIlory.
“Frankly, I’d say without Rory’s support, I’m not even sure if we’d have it here.”
