Government accused of ‘delayed and diluted’ Derelict Property Tax | RTÉ News

The Labour Party leader has dismissed the Government’s Derelict Property Tax as face-saving “spin”.

The Government plans to introduce a new Derelict Property Tax in 107 cities and towns across the State.

Ivana Bacik told the Dáil that the Government is flooding the airwaves and blaming local authorities in a bid to distract attention away from its failure to tackle the issue for many years – citing people contacting her “every day” who have received an eviction notice.
