People will need to wear hi-vis clothing and a helmet when using an e-scooter from Friday ⚡🛴
📝The new rules are due to be signed by the Ministers for Transport later today.
🔞Further planned legislation, banning all under-18s from using e-scooters, has been delayed a number of months while the Government consults with the EU on foot of legal advice.
🎙️Speaking to Anton Savage this morning, Cathal Crowe, Fianna Fáil TD and member of the Oireachtas Transport Committee, has said they have not yet ruled out a total ban on e-scooters
