Homeowners are facing a potential ‘triple hit’ in their Local Property Tax bills next year
Thousands of homeowners are facing a triple hit in their local property tax (LPT) bills next year due to changes to the system, according to an analysis by the Irish Independent.
House prices are rising rapidly, the LPT bands are being changed from the end of this year, and more councils have voted to increase the amount they charge by up to 15pc.
These factors combined could result in some owners of average-priced homes paying far more than in previous years, according to our calculations.
