Rising cost of Food
Claire Brock is joined by Irish Times Reporter Mark Paul to discuss the rising cost of food following the Ukraine crisis.
Mark states that Ireland could go into a deficit over the impact of the Ukraine crisis and Russian sanctions. He also states that inflation will continue to rise.
He tells Claire that the cost of food is “going to be a much much bigger crisis I think than the fuel crisis.”
With Russia and Ukraine producing a third of the world’s wheat, the cost of pasta, bread, and other basics will rise.
