Ireland – Carlow Shooting Latest: Gunman Dead, Known To Gardaí. Child Injured
A man was declared dead at the scene of a shooting last night following the incident at the Fairgreen Shopping Centre in Carlow.
A nine-year-old child also suffered a leg injury.
Gardaí were alerted to reports of shots being fired shortly after 6pm. A lone gunman is believed to have discharged a number of shots, but was later declared dead.
A suspicious device was also found on the man, meaning the Army bomb squad needed to be called.
