IRELAND – CORK CITY, MULTIPLE STABBINGS IN ONE DAY. Man seriously injured, two others hospitalised.

Armed gardaí rushed to the scene of an alleged attack in Cork City centre on Monday, after which two men were brought to hospital for treatment of their injuries.

An argument had broken out between the two men and at some point a knife was produced. He said a man was stabbed and that his attacker then ran back into the bakery.

Gardaí have closed a street on Cork city’s southside after a serious incident last night.

The entire stretch of Quaker Road, a residential South Parish street linking Summerhill South and Barrack Street, was cordoned off last night and remains closed this morning.

Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault which occured on the street last night which occurred around 10pm. A man, in his 40s, was rushed to Cork University Hospital with serious injuries.
