Ireland has ample clean power, but not enough storage
Ireland’s most pressing energy need is not more power but the ability to better store renewable power, says Christopher Brown, a Partner at KPMG in Ireland. The challenge of power in Ireland has captured national attention amid the rise of the the data center industry, which has become the country’s top consumer of energy. Brown points out the challenge is less the amount of power generated but the inability of the national electric grid to fully capture the renewable power generated.
