Irish politician says there should be ‘no place’ for ‘genocidal regime’ Israel in Eurovision contest
“There should not be any tolerance or any place for that genocidal regime in what is essentially a cultural and a musical event.” Irish politician Louise O’Reilly said during a debate on Virgin Media TV that Israel is committing a genocide and attempting to “music-wash” its war crimes in the Gaza strip through its performance in the Eurovision Song Contest. She added that the European Broadcasting Union should expel Israel from the contest as they did with Russia when it invaded Ukraine.
