Women are trapped in abusive situations due to the housing crisis, a new report has found.
The report by the National Women’s Council (NWC) warns that a shortage of housing in Ireland is contributing to “crisis levels of violence against women”.
The report, which is being launched today, says safe and gender-specific housing solutions are a vital component in the fight to end gender-based violence.
