This is the first episode on YouTube of John Waters Unchained, already an established and highly successful platform on Substack. John is also known for his invigorating conversations on another YouTube channel, The Scholar Gypsies with Gerry O’Neill, and his now discontinued channel on Odysee. This new channel will feature conversations (not ‘chats’ but what John calls ‘chat-nots!’), interviews, documentaries, debates and much more. The idea and purpose is to restore elements of broadcast media which have gone missing in the recent years of purchased, setaside media and journalism, bought, paid for and blatant in its lying, smearing and intimidation if dissenters against the prevailing and escalating global tyranny. In this way, John hopes to deploy his 45 years of experience as a journalist, broadcaster, author and playwright to carve out and indicate a direction for a new generation of truth-telling media with a view to the restoration of authentic Irish culture, tradition and values.
The first guest on John Waters Unchained is ‘The Horse Man’, Seán Kilkenny, the legendary Keeper of the Forgotten Horses of Clare, who for nearly six years has resisted official attempts to put him out of business, continuing to hold to and mind his precious horses in the face of the implacable campaign to attack everything true, useful and spirit-nourishing in Irish culture.
