KNIFE THREAT CLOSES DUBLIN GARDA STATION – media blackout called?

IRELAND – Armed gardaí were among emergency services present at a serious incident at Blanchardstown Garda Station on Tuesday morning, when a man entered the station armed with a knife.

Gardaí confirmed that they initiated their Operational Command protocol, which saw them appoint an On-Scene Commander and local Garda negotiators from the National Negotiators Unit.
