Major roads blocked as fuel price protests take place across Ireland

Hauliers, farmers and contractors protesting against the cost of fuel are continuing to cause disruption in the capital and across the country.

Tuesday’s fuel protests are expected to resume today, although it is yet unclear whether they will be of the same scale as those that brought some roads around the country to a standstill yesterday.

Fuel depots at Foynes in Co Limerick, and Galway, have both been blocked this morning, with delivery vehicles not being allowed in or out.

Several heavy vehicles were left in Dublin city centre overnight.
