Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Martin Heydon officially opened Ireland’s first on-farm integrated grass biorefinery and anaerobic digestion (AD) demonstration plant. The facility at the Shinagh Estates Demonstration Farm, Co. Cork will test how grass can be used to produce multiple outputs including livestock feed, protein ingredients, renewable energy and nutrient-rich products.
