</p> <h2>Paul Kimmage at the US Open: Rory finally speaks</h2> <p> It was another tough day in Oakmont for Rory McIlory at the US Open, as six bogeys and two birdies just about summed up his week. “Anytime he made a little mistake, it was a bogey,” says Brian Keogh. The world’s number two golfer has clearly been out of sorts this week, but afterwards he spoke to the media for the first time – for just under five minutes. It began with Stephen Watson of the BBC asking him to sum up his tournament: “Pretty average,” replied McIlroy. It finished when he was asked what his hopes for the final day were: “Hopefully a round in under four and a half hours and get out of here,” he said.
