On Thursday the 4th & Friday the 5th December 2025, Irish Rail conducted driver training movements along the Howth Branch using both an ICR (Intercity Railcar) & Commuter 29000 class DMU. Thursday the 4th December 2025 saw the ICR visit the Howth Branch. It conducted testing between Howth and Howth Junction, I visited most locations along the line to see this.
Then on Friday the 5th of December 2025, a Commuter 29000 class DMU made a very rare appearance on the Howth Branch, again for driver training movements. personally this was my first time ever photographing / filming a 29000 class on the line. Just like the ICR the night prior, I mostly repeated the locations along the line.
