The Day before theDail Eireann Summer Recess (17-july 2025) two South Kilkenny local county councillors Fianna Fail Cllr Ger Frisby and Fine Gael Cllr Fidelis Doherty brought their local community group for the N25 Road Safety Campaigners to Dail Eireann. The purpose of this event was to join Fianna Fails Carlow Kilkenny Peter ”Chap” Cleere TD to have a meeting with Transport Minister Darragh O’Brien for access for funding to make the local main roads of the N25 and the N24 two of the most dangerous stretches of roads in Ireland safe. Two months ago in May 2025 a large public meeting was held in the Rhu Glen in South Kilkenny were over 600 people attended, showing the level of support to make the N25 safer. This meeting was attended by Public Representatives from across the South East with the N25 Road covering the Counties of Kilkenny, Wexford and Waterford.
