Fuel Protest spokesman John Dallon, speaking on O’Connell Bridge in Dublin, warned that soaring diesel prices have pushed farmers, truckers and coach operators to the breaking point, with costs nearly doubling in weeks and making it “unjustifiable to work.” He said government measures were an “insult,” failing to reflect a crisis now feeding directly into rising food prices, transport, mortgages and everyday living costs.
