Apparently, Irelands worst storm in 80 years with new record wind speeds set. It was scary stuff. I think Sam hasn’t been that frightened for a long time.</p> <p>Since then Sam, bless him, has been putting in some serious hours with the fire service. I often couldn’t get hold of him until after midnight, and he was unsurprisingly exhausted.</p> <p>Our off grid caravan is luckily still watertight, but you can definitely feel the cold difference without the insulation and steel roof.</p> <p>It’s heartbreaking how much work Sam put into fitting that roof over a year ago, only for it to be ripped apart in minutes.</p> <p>Still we are grateful that he & the animals were all unharmed.</p> <p>#derelict #diycottage #irishcottage #diy #offgrid #diyrenovation #homestead<br /> Credit to : The Irish Homestead</p> <p> Please support our Sponsors here --
