Taking the plunge for the Bray New Yearโ€™s swim

Bray Harbour buzzed with excitement yesterday as bagpipes filled the air and ladies dressed up as seagulls carrying 99 ice cream cones. A playful nod to the whimsical that has become part of Bray’s New Year’s tradition. Just last year they were dressed as yellow fish singing Baby Shark.

People gathered in front of the Martello Hotel — some still wrapped in their coats, one in a Grinch costume and a few dressed in onesies with tigers painted across their faces.
