A complaint was filed against MCC Brussels with the EU Transparency Register, the database that controls access to key EU meetings and decision makers.
The complaint failed.
But Brussels did not stop. The Transparency Register kept investigating until it found a different technical reason to suspend us.
This film tells the story of how an obscure EU procedure was turned against one of Brussels’ most outspoken critics.
The rules applied to MCC Brussels do not appear to have been applied in the same way to powerful NGOs that support the EU establishment. They kept their access. MCC Brussels was shown the door.
The EU claims to defend transparency, pluralism and democracy. But those words mean nothing if only approved opinions are allowed into the room.
This is not a film about paperwork.
It is about how Brussels silences dissent.
