A looming charge to patients for blister-pack medication has been raised in the Dáil, with Taoiseach Micheál Martin saying: “We will go back and discuss this with the HSE.”
The Dáil heard that tens of thousands of older people with conditions such as dementia and Alzheimer’s rely on tablet blister packs to help manage their medication.
Pearse Doherty of Sinn Féin said the change would be “a disaster” for such dependents.
