Thousands flock to Balmoral Show under way in Lisburn May 15, 2025 Admin Agriculture, Lifestyle </p> <h2>Thousands flock to Balmoral Show under way in Lisburn</h2> <p> Northern Ireland’s biggest agricultural show has opened to the public, with around 3,500 livestock having been entered in the various competition classes.</p> <p>The Balmoral Show, akin to the National Ploughing Championships, takes place every year at the site of the former Maze/Long Kesh prison near Lisburn, Co Antrim.</p> <p>There are a host of attractions and exhibitors, as well as the keenly contested livestock competitions in what is the show’s 156th year.</p> <p>It is an opportunity for farmers to come together socially and to discuss challenges in what is a crucial driver of the local economy.<br /> Credit to : RTÉ News</p> <p> Please support our Sponsors here --
