“PUBERTY BLOCKERS ARE A GODSEND” – Bar Council of Ireland promotes radical trans ideology while barrister Simeon Burke left out in the cold.
Simeon Burke is appealing to Law Library members to intervene ahead of the Master confirmation deadline at 5pm this Friday, 19 September 2025.
He continues to be prevented from practicing law before the Irish courts.
Meanwhile the Law Library, Ireland’s professional association for barristers, is currently promoting the books ‘Trans Like Me’ and ‘Life Isn’t Binary’ to its members. According to these books:
• It is a ‘toxic myth’ that there are only two genders
• The binary conception of gender ‘has been a vital feature in the history of patriarchal oppression’
• Transgenderism should be enshrined in law
• People should use transgender pronouns (i.e. they/them)
• Transgender criminals should be housed in the prison of their choice
• Puberty blockers are a ‘God-send’ and should be made available to children
• The notion of good or bad and right or wrong is a limited way of thinking we need to move beyond.
Meanwhile, Simeon Burke BL – a Christian barrister – continues to be prevented from entering the Law Library and practising law before the Irish Courts. He says: ‘The Law Library should not be a place where only one view is tolerated and where anybody who does not agree with LGBT is banned. I am a Christian. I do believe in right and wrong. I do believe there are only two genders. I should not have to give up that belief to join the Law Library. I do not believe that if you pass your exams, gain the necessary qualifications and are called to the Bar by the Chief Justice, you should be left outside the door of the Law Library as I have been.’
