Mater Hospital incident a “concern for safety”, PSNI says. Police have released a statement following a video circulating online showing a man outside a hospital in Belfast. At around 7am on Monday, June 30, police attended an incident outside the Mater Hospital in the Crumlin Road area of North Belfast. In a statement, police have confirmed this was “related to a concern for safety of a male.” The individual was left in the care of medical staff. Police have appealed to the public to refrain from sharing misinformation or footage in relation to the incident, and stated there “was no risk to the wider community.” “Police can confirm that this related to a concern for safety for a male.
