Updated BYD Atto 2 EV Review | Honest UK & Europe Verdict
In this video I take the updated BYD Atto 2 EV for a real-world test in Barcelona — looking at what’s really changed, how it drives, and whether it’s worth your consideration in the UK and Europe.
From slimmer LED headlights and improved aerodynamics to a bigger 64.8 kWh battery and much faster 155 kW DC charging (30–80% in ~19 min), BYD has made some notable tweaks… but not everything is perfect.
👇 In this review I cover:

⚡ What’s improved:
✔ Bigger battery (430 km/270 mi claimed)
✔ Much faster DC charging
✔ Excellent real-world efficiency (~9–11 kWh/100 km)
✔ Comfort-focused design & family-friendly usability
🤔 What didn’t impress:
❌ Overly intrusive safety alerts (ADAS)
❌ Wireless CarPlay wouldn’t connect during testing
❌ No dedicated frunk storage
❌ Interior feels familiar — not a big leap forward
📍 UK & Ireland Note:
We don’t yet have confirmed Irish pricing or availability for the EV version — and it’s unclear if the electric Atto 2 will be brought here at all. The hybrid Atto 2 DMI is coming to Ireland, so it might be the better choice for many buyers.
