Wages in the Irish construction sector rising rapidly
The ESRI has increased its forecast for housing completions to 35,000 for this year. However, the notable slowdown in commencements and grants of planning permission has prompted it to revise down its forecast for next year to 36,000 units, and it has also warned that wages in the construction sector are rising rapidly as capacity constraints bite.
