After being rejected multiple times for cost rental housing, Robert Nolan and Valentina Clulow are considering emigrating.
Cost rental schemes are designed to support those who cannot afford to buy a home, but earn too much to qualify for social housing.
However, the couple, who live in Tallaght, Dublin, say they cannot buy a place of their own, access social housing or get a cost rental home.
“We are both working professionals, working in community services, giving back to society, but we will never be able to buy a house in this country. We will never be able to live comfortably in this country,” Mr Nolan said.
