The HSE says the two Irish women evacuated from a cruise ship hit by a hantavirus outbreak are in good spirits and demonstrating no signs of symptoms.
The Interim Chief Medical Officer Professor Mary Horgan told RTÉ’s Morning Ireland that the women are isolating at a HSE facility where they will be tested and monitored for signs of infection.
She said they will also be given psychological supports.
Europe’s public health agency said all passengers on the MV Hondius are considered high-risk contacts as a precautionary measure.
