How Ireland Became The Fastest Growing Economy In 2020.
This is Ireland, or specifically the Republic of Ireland which is a sovereign nation that is home to five million people which are all quickly becoming some of the wealthiest citizens in the world. It has a GDP per capital income of over $90.000 meaning they are all well ahead of traditionally wealthy national or regions like Hong Kong, Switzerland and Norway and only placing behind statistical outliers like Luxembourg, Singapore and Qatar. What’s more is that Ireland is on track of being the fastest growing economy in 2020, a year that has been most countries fall behind. It has achieved this despite historically being very dependent on trade and tourism which has of course been a lot more difficult in the world of close borders. So, there is a lot to learn from this country that could potentially be adopted in our own economics so that we too may share with the Irish right? ⁷, that what the figures might have made you believe but may not be the whole story. Frequent viewers of our channel will know that GDP figures alone can leave out some important details about the true prosperity of a nation and the people living within it. So, to that Ireland is more of a paper work we need to see some few areas. How has Ireland become so a wealthy country despite its history of being poor and oppressed? Is this wealth going to benefit the citizens of the nation? And is this Irish strategy something that all nations could adopt? Well, as we are riding on some of this question will be answered and our worries will be clarified.
