</p> <h2>Molly Malone’s stewards will face tricky task keeping statue safe from groping tourists</h2> <p> A busker was loudly singing the chorus of Creep by Radiohead as a group of five teenagers walked past the statue of Molly Malone this week, each slapping one of her breasts as they passed.<br /> The irony seemed to have been lost on them – and the dozens of people who would follow over the next hour.</p> <p>In just 60 minutes, 71 people touched and groped the chest of the bronze statue in Dublin’s Suffolk Street, which has become tarnished as a result of a ‘lucky’ ritual for tourists that is thought to have started in the early 2010s.<br /> Credit to : Irish Independent</p> <p>
